5 things to do in Botswana

5 things to do in Botswana

  1. Sunset cruise along the Chobe river – arguably one of the best sunset experiences you will ever get in Southern Africa
  2. Game drive in Chobe national park – Chobe national park is Botswana’s third largest national park, and is home to Africa’s largest concentration of elephants. Spotting wildlife in this park will not be difficult and it is home to all the members of the big 5 save for the rhino.
  3. Hiking- one of the best ways to explore a place is to hike through it and guided hikes of certain parts of the Chobe national park are available. Imagine that, hiking on trails that are used by Africa’s finest wildlife.
  4. Pangolin photo safari- think about this, you’re on a boat, armed with a camera and lens just for you to take photographs of the scenery and wildlife over a three hour period. That’s right, the pangolin photo safari allows visitors to take photographs as they cruise on the Chobe river for three hours on specially designed boats that are designed to be extra stable on water, allowing your inner photographer to shine
  5. Visit Impalila island- granted, Impalila Island is located in Namibia, but it’s a short boat cruise away from Chobe. The 26km long island is home to 2100 people, and there’s no electricity there, with traditional practices used in the architecture, a sheer example of African resourcefulness
